About host
Hi, I’m Ross, the founder of Central Escapes.
I’ve always had a passion for property, travel and discovering unique places to stay. Whether I’m exploring the UK or travelling abroad, I can spend hours searching for Airbnbs that stand out from the rest. I believe the best stays are the ones you remember long after you’ve left the ones with thoughtful design, little surprises and a personality of their own.
That mindset inspires every Central Escapes property. Rather than creating beige, ordinary spaces, I carefully design each one to feel different, memorable and full of character, with the little extras that make guests want to return.
Before starting Central Escapes, I worked in hospitality, which taught me how to create a welcoming guest experience, and in social media, where I developed my eye for design and creativity. Combining those two passions allows me to create stays that are as enjoyable to experience as they are to look at.
My aim is simple: to create places that you’ll remember for all the right reasons.

Cottage is so clean, beds amazingly comfortable, heating toasty and log burner is toasty with just one fire log.

Rose Cottage
This place is gorgeously gothic in it's decoration and i loved it! Also located in a super quite alley so very rarely disturbed. Ross was super friendly and proactively checking everything was ok with the stay. Location was smack bang in the centre of Whitby town an perfectly placed. Great stay, had a fab time ! ❤️
